I managed to find a hostel just outside the old city, which was great as I wanted to check out other sites using the bus system. I would highly recommend staying at Datong Fly by Knight Highrise Hostel via any booking online system. While I was here I checked out the Yungang Caves which were buddha’s caved into sandstone cliffs. These caves where started back in 453AD and … Continue reading Datong – China
Beijing was my first stop of my six weeks travelling through China. The first thing that happened to me was I got the cough (from all the pollution) and a head cold. But I soldier on and walked through Beihai Park, which is near the Imperial Palace. This park was jamed packed as it was the holidays plus the weekend…everyone is so active, either dancing or just playing/practicing … Continue reading China – Beijing
Number 3: Can Tho (Mekong Delta) Our tour guide was amazing and seeing the floating markets still in action today was something I won’t forget anytime soon. Can Tho – Vietnam Number 2: Dalat The main reason I would go here it to get an Easy Rider and go out of the city to check out coffee plantations, local villages and the waterfalls. Dalat – Vietnam Number … Continue reading Vietnam – Top 3
Ha Noi was a last stop in Vietnam and it’s a very chilled out place. We found a lot of places (through Pokemon Go) quite close so we decided to mostly do walking…even in the pouring rain. If you playing Pokemon Go it’s actually quite helpful in this city as most or I’m sure all landmarks were either pokestops or gyms. This become very helpful even … Continue reading Ha Noi
Sapa was an amazing experience would highly recommend to come for a couple of days of hiking and seeing the Mama’s way of life. Before heading to Sapa we bought our return ticket back to Hanoi, which was opened ended as we weren’t too sure when we would be heading back. We look at all the options which was either going on a tour which costs … Continue reading Sapa, Mama Shu Shu- Vietnam
From Hoi An we flew to Hanoi then off to Ha Long Bay for two days, one night. We bought our tour in Hoi An (2days, 1night), but unfortunately we got ripped off as we boarded the cheapest boat. I would highly suggest buying the 4 star tours rather than 1 or 2 stars. We made the most of it, we started off late from … Continue reading Ha Long Bay & Ninh Binh – Vietnam
Our last day in Hue we headed down with Hue Rider to Hoi An and made stops along the way to the Elephant Waterfall, Dam Lap An for lunch, Hai Van Pass (Top Gear) and checked out Marble Mountain in Danang before arriving in Hoi An. These guys were great and so much fun, we paid around 55USD per person which was well worth it. Our … Continue reading Hoi An – Vietnam
During our time in Hue we did the DMZ (Delimitory Zone) tour and checked out the the Royal Palace. Really you only need to stay two nights in this place as once you have done these Palace and the tour there isn’t much else to do. On the DMZ tour we went to quite a few places but all I really cared about was … Continue reading Hue – Vietnam
