Over the past 7 weeks in Laos I’ve experience such beauty and great way of life. In Laos they are not on time unless you are catching a bus or plane so I ended up calling it the ‘Lao Way’
During this period of time I’ve been Teaching and doing Building & Constructing plus Laos New Year in the middle of it all.
Teaching primary children was amazing; their willing to learn and understand was remarkable. I taught them a range of English like colors, items of clothing + jewellery and his/her etc.
Laos New Year and amazing, with travelling around Pakse and the 4,000 islands I found myself relaxing for the first time in a while, as it’s just a big water fight and no scooters, tuktuks or cars were let off. Will never forget this experience.
While I was doing building & constructing I was working with two guys, one from Australia and the other from Switzerland. We were a force to be reckon with, as over my time at the site we completed 2.5 walls to prevent the neighboring cows coming into the school.
I’ve travelled to Vientiane, Vang Vieng, Si Phan Don (4,000 Island), Pakse and Luang Prabang during my time in Laos.
One thing I’ll be taking away from my travels to Laos is to slow down and enjoy life, be nice & kind to people.
